This job was spread across two sites – one large rented office building in Quedgeley and a group of smaller canalside units in Stonehouse.
The building in Quedgeley was the more straightforward and we were asked to suggest ideas for colours and styles of containers for the reception area. Upon viewing pictures of the reception sent to us by the client, we suggested lime green Lechuza Cubico would be a perfect fit, adding colour and vibrancy. We installed two free sample containers which the client was delighted with, instructing us to add one more.
For the site in Stonehouse, the spec was a little more complicated. The buildings are all part of an old textiles mill from the early 18th century that have been converted into office spaces. There are sloping floors in many of the buildings and they each have their own unique character. Our client had a number of beautiful large burgundy containers already on site that they asked us to work with, supplying both indoor and outdoor plants to go in these, along with some additional new interior containers. For the exterior containers we supplied large Buxus topiary cones and balls. New silver Lechuza containers (Cubico and Rondo) were placed in the reception of the main building planted with Dracaena White Stripe and variegated Marginata. One of the tall burgundy containers was for just inside the entrance to the Counting House and we were asked to suggest a low plant with round leaves. What else could it be for the Counting House, other than a Money Plant (Crassula Ovata)? Bringing prosperity to all who work there!
We’re pleased to report that our client is very happy with what we’ve supplied for both sites and, as refurbishment work is completed at the mill and new tenants arrive, we will be supplying additional plants and containers to enhance the character of these historic buildings.
